Security Officer Screening Specialist

About the role

As a Security Officer Screening Specialist in Wichita Falls, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by screening individuals and/or packages, monitoring assigned areas, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with team members, and support smooth operations. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals, packages, and deliveries entering or leaving the distribution location in accordance with site procedures and applicable requirements.
• Monitor access points, loading areas, and other assigned locations; verify credentials and report unauthorized activity or irregularities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to the appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and loading zones to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Qualifications

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
