Security Officer Screening Operations

Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a dynamic tech and communications location in Chester, VA. This full-time role combines customer service, communication, and security-related awareness to monitor entry activity, conduct screening procedures, and support a welcoming, professional environment. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals entering the location by verifying credentials, following visitor processing steps, and documenting security-related concerns in accordance with post instructions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues to site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Monitor entry points, lobbies, and/or designated screening areas to support authorized access and deter unauthorized activity.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
