Security Officer - Screening Operations

About the role

As a Full Time Security Officer in Screening Operations at a dynamic logistics and distribution location in McCarran, NV, you will help maintain a secure environment by screening visitors and personnel, supporting access procedures, and communicating professionally with team members. Your visible presence and attention to detail will help deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries entering the logistics and distribution location in accordance with site access requirements.
• Inspect identification, credentials, and authorized materials; document entry and report discrepancies or prohibited items according to established procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, access points, warehouse operations, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
