About the role
As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Operations in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by screening individuals and packages, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while helping maintain efficient operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers at a logistics and distribution location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
- Screen individuals, packages, and permitted items entering designated areas in accordance with site procedures; report prohibited or suspicious items and activities to appropriate personnel.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate visitor, driver, and incident documentation.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate contacts.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Qualifications
- At least 6 months of security-related experience.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay & Schedule
Pay Rate: $16.82 / Hour
Schedule: Daytime, Monday–Tuesday and Friday–Sunday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
