About the Role
As a Security Officer Screening and Inspection in Ellenwood, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor access points, screen people and property, and support smooth daily operations through visible presence, communication, and attention to detail. Job Schedule: Day Time: Mon 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM, Thur 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM, Fri 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM, Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM, Sun 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and site personnel by following security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Screen individuals, belongings, and/or authorized items entering or exiting the location in accordance with site requirements and established screening protocols.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document irregularities to help support orderly entry and exit at a busy logistics and distribution location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details through appropriate communication channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unusual activity and reporting concerns in accordance with site procedures.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
