About the Role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government education location in Bethpage, NY, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide professional customer service to students, staff, and visitors. This is a part-time, driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at an educational campus location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate school personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, entrances, parking areas, athletic fields, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to maintain an orderly environment for students, staff, and visitors.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

$22.74 / hour
