Security Officer Roving Patrol

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing details with supervisors and/or local contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor high-traffic areas and support orderly movement throughout the location by providing directions, assisting with visitor questions, and reporting hazards, disturbances, and/or maintenance-related issues.
• Support post orders for an unarmed patrol assignment by observing surroundings, controlling access at designated points when assigned, and communicating clearly during routine operations and/or emergency situations.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Able to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
