Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driver

About the role

As a Security Officer Retail Patrol Driver in Grosse Pointe Woods, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. This is a driving post, requiring patrol responsibilities that align with Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and document relevant details according to post instructions.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
• Monitor access points and observe property activity to help support authorized entry, report concerns, and/or relay information to property management and emergency contacts as needed.
• Complete routine reports and communicate clearly with Allied Universal leadership, tenants, and/or local responders regarding incidents, maintenance concerns, and other security-related matters.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Friday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Saturday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sunday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
