About the role

As a Security Officer Residential Patrol in Rochdale, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Commercial Real Estate. As an Unarmed Security Officer, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with tenants, visitors, and team members while helping maintain a welcoming, secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the commercial property, including common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter, while reporting unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with property policies, helping to deter unauthorized entry and maintain an orderly environment.
• Prepare accurate reports and complete required documentation for incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities.

Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
