Security Officer - Residential Part Time Patrol

About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer, you will serve as the front desk presence at a residential location in San Diego, CA. You will greet residents and guests, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment. This stationary role helps deter security-related concerns through professionalism, communication, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, front desk protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access to the residential location by verifying visitors, reviewing deliveries, maintaining visitor logs, and communicating with residents and/or property staff regarding entry requests.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related matters to the appropriate contact when needed.
• Answer phones, greet incoming guests, observe lobby and entrance activity, and report unusual behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy-related issues to property management or Allied Universal leadership.
• Support a professional front desk presence by documenting daily activity, completing required reports, and helping to deter unauthorized access through consistent attention to posted rules and procedures.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$18.69 / hour

• Friday: 12:30 AM - 08:30 AM
• Saturday: 12:30 AM - 08:30 AM
