Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the shelter location, surrounding grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor activity, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and communicate relevant security-related information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Requirements

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Skills

• Customer service skills.
• Ability to respond calmly and professionally to incidents and concerns.
• Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
