Security Officer - Research Center

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring for a Security Officer position at a research center in Santa Clara, CA.

About the Role

This role emphasizes customer service, as you will interact with people across all shifts in environments such as office towers, hotels, and shopping centers. Your ability to build meaningful connections and engage with others to reassure and inspire confidence is key.

Responsibilities

• Customer service duties, including welcoming, verifying identity, and guiding visitors
• Manage access control
• Perform regular patrols to identify potential risks
• Inspect security equipment and report any maintenance needs
• Respond to incidents, provide first aid, and coordinate with emergency teams
• Answer questions in person or by phone
• Write incident reports and communicate security concerns
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property

Requirements

• State security license and additional 32-hour BSIS security trainings (additional training can be obtained during the hiring process)
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Six months of security experience
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Proficient in basic phone and computer skills (tech-savvy)
• Security, military, or law enforcement experience is a plus

Schedule

• Full-time and part-time positions available (16–40 hours per week)
• Wednesday–Saturday: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• Sunday–Tuesday: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• Friday–Tuesday: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• Wednesday–Thursday: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• Wednesday–Saturday: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM

Pay

Competitive hourly wage of $24.50 per hour. DailyPay is available for GardaWorld employees.
