Security Officer Reception Operations

About the role

As a Front Desk Security Officer at a dynamic retail mall location in Phoenix, AZ, you will welcome visitors, manage access, monitor entry activity, and provide professional assistance to tenants, shoppers, and guests. Your visible presence and strong communication skills will help support a secure, welcoming environment and help deter security-related incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, shoppers, and staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a retail mall front desk.
• Greet guests, manage visitor access, issue passes or credentials as directed, and provide information regarding mall services, directions, and tenant locations.
• Monitor access points, cameras, alarm panels, and communications systems from the front desk, reporting unusual activity or maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Maintain accurate visitor logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while supporting a welcoming and professional environment.

Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
