Security Officer Reception Desk

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by greeting employees, visitors, and vendors, managing front desk activity, and following site-specific security-related procedures for a chemical and industrial location.
• Monitor access at the front desk by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining entry records, and communicating with site contacts regarding arrivals and deliveries.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and support emergency response activities in accordance with location protocols.
• Answer phones, direct inquiries, and report maintenance, access control, and other security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Observe lobby and reception areas for suspicious, unauthorized, or concerning activity and help to deter disruptions through visible front desk presence and timely reporting.

Requirements

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Skills

• CPR certification.
