Provide security for casino property, maintaining high visibility while handling problem situations, watching for safety hazards, and assisting during emergencies. Responsibilities
- Patrol parking lots and property
- Transfer Table Games fills and credits
- Provide escorts as needed
- Oversee customer presence on property, including crowd control, traffic direction, ID checks, and screening for prohibited items
- Check and verify valid ID using a hand-held scanning device and maintain the device
- Assist customers by answering questions, handling complaints, and arranging transportation
- Perform duties associated with table and slot drops
- Observe the Count Team during slot drops and transport funds to the Count Room
- Monitor entry and exit from Count and Player Services mantrap
- Serve as dispatcher, card and dice inspector, exterior patrol, and perform other security functions as needed
- Dispatch officers to assignments and maintain activity logs
- Report accidents and incidents in written and verbal form
- Collect and compile investigation information as needed
- Write detailed reports for incidents involving law violations or company policy violations
- Testify in court when necessary
- Meet department uniform, appearance, and grooming requirements
- Maintain clean and safe work areas, free of hazards, debris, and litter
- Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to regulatory, department, and company policies
- Perform other job-related and compatible duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
- Previous customer service experience
- Ability to display professionalism
- Ability to run on level surfaces, as well as up and down stairs
- Ability to identify and quickly respond to potential problems and conflicts, and defend self and others in combative situations
- Ability to move effectively and efficiently around all work areas, including walking and standing for long periods
- Ability to multi-task as required
- Must be able to earn and maintain an American Heart Association CPR/AED and First Aid certification
- Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving history (if driving a company vehicle)
