Security Officer - Property Access

About the role

As a Security Officer - Property Access in North Myrtle Beach, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to residents, property management, and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential community, including common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and community activity, document observations and incidents, and report maintenance concerns, rule violations, and/or suspicious behavior according to site procedures.

Requirements

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Must pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses and certifications are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
