Security Officer - Prestigious Office Property

About the role

Join Allied Universal at a dynamic commercial real estate location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness throughout the property.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observed conditions to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, common areas, corridors, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry points, access activity, and visitor movement in accordance with property protocols, and communicate clearly with building personnel and/or first responders when needed.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and/or maintenance or life systems concerns in required reports and logs, following Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.

Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet preferred.
• Have access control and/or badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
