Security Officer - Platform Patrol

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic government transit location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support riders and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and public areas, assist with directing foot traffic, and provide general information while following post orders and client-specific protocols.
• Observe and report maintenance concerns, suspicious behavior, and policy violations, and support a professional environment through visible presence and courteous interaction.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
