About the role
As a Security Officer - Plant Access Control in Christine, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor entry points, verify authorized access, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and contractors while supporting site procedures and responding to access-related concerns.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to authorized personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.
- Monitor and control access at designated entry points by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing individuals in accordance with established site requirements.
- Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating observations to appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to identify unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized access.
- Document daily activities, incidents, and access-related observations accurately and complete required reports in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
Requirements
- A Guard Card/License is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
