Plant Security Officer

About the role

As a Security Officer – Tactical, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, detention centers, etc.

Responsibilities

• Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas
• React quickly to threats or incidents
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras
• Document incidents and actions taken
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property

Qualifications

• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
• Be able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
• You have a valid driver's license
• You have reliable transportation
• You are 21 years of age or older
• You have prior security experience
• You have a valid security license and/or can obtain one

Skills

• Keen sense of observation and ability to anticipate risk
• First aid certification is an asset
• Security, Military, or Law Enforcement experience is a plus
• CPR certification is a plus

Pay & Schedule

• Site Location: Baltimore, MD
• Hourly wage: $18.54 / hour (DailyPay is available for GardaWorld employees!)
• Schedule options:
  • Evening shift 3:00pm-11:00pm, Thursday to Sunday, 32 hours per week
  • 3:00pm-11:00pm, Friday-Monday, 32 hours per week
  • 1:00pm-9:00pm, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week
  • 5:00am-1:00pm, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week
