Security Officer - Per Diem

Job Summary

Responsible for ensuring the safety of patients, visitors, and staff by patrolling the premises, monitoring security systems, and responding to security incidents.

Essential Functions

• Conduct regular patrols of the healthcare facility, including interior and exterior areas, to detect and deter security breaches, vandalism, theft, or any suspicious activities.
• Maintain a visible presence and provide a sense of security by being approachable and proactive in addressing security concerns.
• Monitor surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and access control systems to identify potential security threats or breaches.
• Report any security-related incidents, hazards, or policy violations promptly to appropriate personnel.
• Control access to the facility by verifying identification, issuing visitor passes, and ensuring that only authorized individuals enter designated areas.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Experience in security operations, preferably in a healthcare or similar setting. 2-3 years preferred
• Class D Passenger Vehicle Driver's License [State License] - Generic - HR Only preferred
• Certified Healthcare Security Officer [CHSO] - International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety preferred
• Certified Healthcare Security Supervisor [CHSS] - International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety preferred
• Personal Drivers License (New Hampshire) - New Hampshire Division of Motor Vehicles preferred
• MGH Security RMV Check/Registry of Motor Vehicles Driving Report - MGB Internal preferred
