About the role
PATROL ASSIGNMENTS:
- Enforces hospital security regulations.
- Reports potential safety hazards and unusual occurrences in assigned areas.
Responsibilities
IDENTIFY AND REPORT SAFETY HAZARDS:
- Identifies unsafe conditions and improperly secured areas/property.
- Prevents theft, injuries, or damages to Hospital property, patients, visitors, and employees.
INVESTIGATE COMPLAINTS AND SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY:
- Investigates thefts, shortages, and other complaints involving potential criminal misconduct.
- Notifies appropriate law enforcement agencies of potential/real civil or criminal misconduct.
- Detains suspicious individuals as appropriate.
- Participates in subsequent court proceedings as required.
PREPARE AND SUBMIT REPORTS:
- Prepares and submits written reports in a complete and accurate manner.
- Maintains strict confidentiality standards at all times.
MAINTAIN VALUABLES AND EVIDENCE:
- Maintains accountability for valuables/property and forms of evidence coming into the incumbent's custody.
- Ensures safekeeping and maintains documentation.
Qualifications
DISPATCHING AND EMERGENCY RESPONSE:
- Utilizes “state-of-the-art” integrated security systems to dispatch personnel to respond to occurrences and phone calls for assistance.
- Provides and maintains documentation.
RESPOND TO MEDICAL EMERGENCIES:
- Responds to medical emergencies.
- Assists in the restraint of patients.
- Involves in the protection of dignitaries.
- Controls pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
