Security Officer / Per Diem

About the role

A Security Guard contributes to AHF by being responsible for protecting the company’s assets and ensuring the safety of its staff, tenants, contractors, guests and visitors at AHF’s sites, including Healthy Housing (HHF) properties.

Responsibilities

• Leverage security training to implement strategies that protect personnel and assets (including inventory of donations) at HHF tenant facilities.
• Implement policies and procedures to achieve the mission of protecting AHF’s personnel and assets.
• Coordinate and oversee an in-house Security Guards Team.
• Be friendly, professional, and disciplined in the performance of duties.
• Recognize and respond to potentially dangerous situations in the safest and most effective manner.
• Advocate for AHF’s top initiatives and ensure the AHF Core Values and Mission are top of mind.
• Work as part of a close-knit team to establish and maintain working relationships with Healthy Housing operational staff to ensure a safe and secure environment.
• Utilize the existing Safety and Security Incident Reporting System to submit detailed reports regarding events and situations that occur while on duty.
• Adapt to various situations and be flexible to add consistent value to AHF/HHF.

Requirements

Active Florida Class D Unarmed Security Guard Card is required.
