About the role
As an Unarmed Security Officer at a government court services location in Riverside, CA, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors, staff, and community members. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to situations as they arise.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, court personnel, attorneys, and the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a government court services location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned court facilities, public areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, observe visitor activity, and assist with directing individuals to appropriate court services while maintaining professional interactions and confidentiality.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
