Security Officer Patrol Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout loading areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, check credentials and/or visitor logs, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and/or operational concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Support receiving, shipping, and general facility operations by observing trailer yards, dock areas, and high-traffic zones for security-related concerns and reporting issues in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
