Security Officer Patrol Response Unit

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the location, including entrances, parking areas, hallways, and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor doors, restricted areas, and/or visitor movement in accordance with location policies, reporting unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Support healthcare location operations by assisting with directional guidance, de-escalation support when appropriate, and other security-related duties aligned with Allied Universal standards and site expectations.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Must pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
