About the role
As a Part-Time Security Officer Patrol Responder in New Hartford, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial. This unarmed role involves patrolling assigned areas, maintaining visibility to reduce security-related incidents, and supporting daily operations through strong customer service and communication. You will contribute to a team-oriented culture that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to identify unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or potential hazards.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor logs, deliveries, and/or contractor activity in accordance with site procedures to support authorized access.
- Assist with incident reporting, shift activity logs, and communication during operational disruptions, emergencies, and/or after-hours events while maintaining professional interactions with site personnel.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal considers qualified applications with criminal histories consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
