Security Officer - Patrol Representative

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Congduct regular and random patrols throughout warehouses, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter points, noting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor entry and exit activity for personnel, visitors, and/or deliveries, verify credentials when required, and support access control procedures for restricted areas.
• Assist with traffic flow, vehicle patrol activity, and/or routine inspections of gates, doors, lighting, and exterior areas, reporting maintenance or security-related issues according to site policy.

Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
