Security Officer - Patrol Presence

About the role

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a commercial real estate location in Scottsdale, AZ, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and badge processes. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with teamwork and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, tenants, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial real estate facilities, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and vendor activity in accordance with site procedures, reporting unusual conditions or policy violations.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation while maintaining a professional presence at the location.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$22.28 / hour

Schedule

• Monday: 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM
• Tuesday: 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
• Saturday: 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM
• Sunday: 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM
