Security Officer Patrol Operative

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting a dynamic tech, media, and telecommunications location. In this role, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observed activity and communicating relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site protocols, helping to support orderly operations and reporting policy violations, maintenance concerns, and/or suspicious behavior.
• Assist with assigned security-related duties during shifts, which may include observing camera systems, supporting after-hours access procedures, and completing routine reports related to incidents and patrol activity.

Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
