About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in Novi, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Healthcare. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and assist visitors, patients, and staff with professionalism and care. This role offers the opportunity to use your communication and customer service skills while supporting a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and reliable service.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, employees, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the healthcare location, including interior areas, parking areas, and perimeter, to help identify and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, helping to support an orderly environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
