Security Officer Patrol Monitor

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, transit areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and public areas, assisting with directing foot traffic, checking credentials when required, and reporting policy violations or suspicious behavior.
• Support daily operations at a government location by communicating with site personnel, assisting during service disruptions, and following post orders related to public interaction and incident response.

Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• Able to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
