Security Officer Patrol Monitor
About the role
Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, warehouse spaces, and perimeter points as assigned.
- Monitor entry and exit activity for employees, visitors, and/or delivery personnel, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location.
- Support daily operations by observing site activity, documenting unusual conditions, and communicating security-related information to supervisors and/or designated contacts.
Requirements
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Must pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licenses and certifications are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Skills
- Computer skills are preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
