About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Security Officer in Elko, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Healthcare. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, while reporting unusual conditions.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner and notify appropriate personnel as directed by site procedures.
- Assist with access control by monitoring entry points, verifying authorized access when required, and directing visitors to appropriate areas.
- Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.
Requirements
- Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
