Security Officer Patrol Guardian
About the role
Join Allied Universal at a dynamic government location where you will patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations through required site documentation and/or communication channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify concerns.
- Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry for employees, contractors, and/or visitors in accordance with site protocols and government location requirements.
- Support daily operations by observing surroundings, assisting with directions and general inquiries, and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders when needed.
Requirements
- Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
- Possess 1+ years of security-related experience.
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
