Security Officer Patrol - Gate Access Control

About the role

As a Security Officer Patrol - Gate Access Control in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Security Officer supporting a financial services location, you will conduct routine vehicle patrols, monitor assigned areas, help to deter incidents, and provide professional customer service. You will assist with access control, communicate clearly with visitors and staff, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity and teamwork. This driving post requires a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed by site procedures
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report unusual conditions in accordance with site-specific policies
• Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence

Requirements

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only

Qualifications

• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred
• Guard Card/License is preferred
• Customer Service Experience is preferred

Pay & Schedule

• Position Type: Full Time / Overnight Shift
• Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour
• Schedule: Monday 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM, Tuesday 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM, Wednesday 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM, Thursday 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
