Security Officer Patrol Driver
About the role
Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a healthcare location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and support access and badge activities while remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify potential concerns and support security-related operations.
- Monitor entrances, badge activity, and/or visitor movement in accordance with location protocols, helping to support authorized access and a professional environment.
- Report maintenance issues, hazards, and/or policy concerns observed during patrols, and assist with follow-up actions related to security-related procedures.
Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
