Security Officer Patrol Driver

About the role

As a Security Officer Patrol Driver in China, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and incident response. This driving position requires a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. You will deliver professional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors at a utilities location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of utility facilities, buildings, access points, equipment areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials as required, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report access-control concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities in accordance with site policies.
• Complete detailed daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate relevant security-related information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• Be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends, as part of a branch flex position.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be available for last-minute shift scheduling as part of a branch flex position.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay Rate: $16.96 / Hour

Schedule: Daytime, Saturday 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM, Sunday 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
