As an unarmed Security Officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, monitor assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. This driving position offers the opportunity to support a welcoming environment while responding to security-related concerns with professionalism, communication, and integrity.
What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to store associates, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and the property perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Monitor for suspicious activity, policy violations, and potential hazards, helping to deter theft, unauthorized access, and disruptive behavior.
- Document incidents, patrol activities, and unusual observations in accordance with site-specific reporting procedures.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A Guard Card/License is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
