As an unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This driving position requires a valid driver's license. You will deliver exceptional customer service and communication while representing Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven values.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, behavioral concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as needed, and support a welcoming healthcare environment.
- Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
Requirements
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour
- Position Type: Part Time
- Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday - 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM
