Security Officer Patrol Driver

About the role

As a Security Officer Patrol Driver in Gallup, NM, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a retail location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service. This primarily driving role requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or customers while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, building perimeters, and other assigned locations.
• Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner and notify appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property to help deter unauthorized access, theft, and/or disruptive conduct.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal requirements.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$17.75 per hour

Schedule

Full Time. Daytime shifts: Wednesday 12:00 AM – 7:30 AM, Thursday 12:00 AM – 7:30 AM, Saturday 7:30 AM – 8:30 PM, Sunday 7:30 AM – 8:30 PM.
