Security Officer Patrol Driver

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide professional customer service. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license that meets Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at a municipal government location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government buildings, public areas, parking facilities, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity for policy violations, suspicious behavior, and/or other security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, including requesting emergency assistance when appropriate.
• Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations through accurate reports and promptly communicate concerns to designated personnel.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
