About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic retail and mall location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post. You will also deliver outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a people-first team culture built on agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures, supporting access activity, and assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or public emergency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail common areas, entrances, corridors, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Observe and report suspicious behavior, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations, and document daily activities, incidents, and patrol findings according to site expectations.
- Support a professional environment at the location by monitoring high-traffic areas, providing directions and assistance, and addressing routine questions or concerns with courtesy and professionalism.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
