Security Officer Patrol Dispatcher

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or travelers by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with site contacts and/or public agency partners as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, roadways, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and public areas, verify credentials when required, and help to deter prohibited activity while maintaining a professional presence at the location.
• Support daily operations at a government transportation location by reporting hazards, assisting with crowd and/or traffic flow concerns, and following established communication and reporting procedures.

Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
