DayTime: Wed 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM, Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Sun 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials when required, and support access control processes in accordance with site policies and post instructions.
- Prepare clear reports on incidents, patrol activity, and daily operations, and communicate relevant updates to supervisors and/or designated personnel.
Minimum Requirements
- Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Possess customer service experience preferred.
- Possess access control or badge experience preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
