Security Officer Patrol
About the role
Join Allied Universal at a government education location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors through strong customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures, screening access points, and supporting security-related protocols.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas, verify credentials when required, and document security-related events, observations, and/or incidents in daily activity reports.
- Support emergency response activities, assist with directional guidance during evacuations and/or restricted access situations, and communicate clearly with site personnel regarding security-related concerns.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
