Security Officer Patrol

About the role

As a Security Officer Unarmed Perimeter Patrol in CENTRAL VALLEY, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or store personnel by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns according to post instructions.

Requirements

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Skills

• Computer literacy is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
