Security Officer Patrol Associate

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, staff, and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and general assistance, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations according to site guidelines.
• Support Allied Universal and site leadership with routine documentation, incident reports, and/or shift communications related to daily operations and observed activity.

Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
