Security Officer Patrol Associate

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government services location. You will provide customer service, respond to incidents, conduct patrols, and support day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry for staff, visitors, and/or vendors while following location protocols for identification, visitor processing, and restricted areas.
• Support day-to-day operations by observing utility-related facilities and equipment areas, reporting maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations, and assisting with directions and general assistance when needed.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Able to ride a bike.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 lbs preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
