Security Officer Patrol Associate
About the role
As a Security Officer Patrol Associate II in Boston, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading financial institution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the interior and exterior of the location, including common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter points, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and assist with enforcing site rules related to entry, departure, and restricted areas.
- Support day-to-day operations by completing assigned reports, communicating clearly with staff and/or first responders, and following post orders for after-hours coverage, alarms, and other security-related duties.
Requirements
- Must have 2+ years of security-related experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Must be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Must pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licenses and certifications are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
